Sometimes we need a break and sometimes life forces us out of taking care of ourselves. You may not notice much difference taking a couple of days off the gym but long term (a week or more), you'll likely notice some weakness creeping in, your physique may begin to get a bit softer, you may even notice less drive to do a workout (it's harder to get out of bed). Make sure, especially after a long break, you take it easy on your body...but not too easy, you'll probably get a little muscle soreness post workout regardless.
