Surfing the Net: Playhouse Disney UK website (2000-2003)

Surfing the Net: Playhouse Disney UK website (2000-2003) Here is a look back at the old Playhouse Disney UK website from when Dave Benson Phillips and Alex Lovell (They were also in episodes of Fun Song Factory) were around, with a little few adjustments to it at the end of this video.

Back when there was a proper variety of shows and fill-ins that all connected to Disney.
There was Art Play with cartoonist Sara-Louise Harper, Circle Time with Jason Canning (who is now an animation voice actor) and two others that are not on this website:
Bite Size with either Dave Benson Phillips (Deep Fried Dave), Karl Woolley (Krispy Karl) or Sophie Aldred with puppet, Mitzi the oven glove.
Music Time with usually Dave or Alex, but sometimes, both of them singing a Disney song (with the original recording) on location with a few children.

There was also some favourite characters like Bear in the Big Blue House, Winnie the Pooh, Rolie Polie Olie, Stanley (with a catchy theme performed by the Baha Men) and PB&J Otter (which also aired on GMTV as part of Diggit, believe it or not).

There's also been some live shows at local shopping centers which were sponsored by Tesco Toddler Club and as for merchandising of the Dave and Alex era... only a very rare promotional VHS release and a sing-along DVD with songs from other programmes were on the sales.
