Yeddiyurappa wins stability in Karnataka with bypoll sweep

BJP has swept the keenly fought bypolls to 15 seats in Karnataka, winning a clear majority in the 224-member house. While, Yeddiyurappa has emerged a clear winner, the Congress and the JDS have been left licking their wounds. While most of those who won on the BJP ticket are Congress and JDS MLAs who had turned rebels, the voters have perhaps backed the BJP with an aim to end the political instability in the state.
