At least two people were killed and others injured after protest marches on Thursday, according to Defense Minister Carlos Trujillo.

The protests, as well as transportation issues in multiple cities on Friday, led to renewed confrontations between demonstrators and police.

More than 250,000 people marched on Thursday to express growing discontent with President Ivan Duque's government, including rumoured economic reforms the president has denied.
