Congo Plane Crashes in Residential Area, 25 Dead ▶️ People gather at the site where a plane crashed into a densely populated neighborhood in Goma, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Sunday, November 24.

👉 Emergency officials in the DRC say at least 25 passengers and crew members died when an airplane crashed shortly after takeoff Sunday.

The Dornier-228 aircraft, operated by local company Busy Bee, crashed into a residential area near Goma airport.

The flight was headed to Beni, 350 kilometers (217 miles) north of Goma.

It was not immediately clear if people on the ground were killed or injured in the incident.
