Tiktok is the fastest growing social media platform right now... getting in early gives you an advantage later.. ( imagine being 1st to Facebook)
What should you do 1st...
Sign up and research/play around for a few days
Engage with profiles and content in your niche
Make a plan: Don’t just start posting random stuff.
Research your area.. what are people doing and sharing
Video Length:Do not make your videos any less than 8 seconds, but ideally between 15-30 seconds for every video. The algorithm heavily favors videos that are in this duration of time, as it keeps users longer on the platform on average.
Post Frequency: Only post 2 times MAX, for the first week. Space it out between morning and night. Allow what you do to be seen and learn
Good Lighting: The algorithm does NOT favor videos that have poor lighting. For 2 main reasons.
The visual detection (of nudity, violence, hate speech, etc.) is not as easily detectable with dark shitty lighting. So if it can’t detect, it gets pushed down. Not worth the risk
Users don’t often want to sit around and try and figure out what’s happening with some horrible looking video footage. Thus they SWIPE UP super fast, and kill your audience retention. Which just makes your video in return, perform poorly
Create your first videos using TikTok Camera:
If you’re going to be creating an ORIGINAL content based profile, 100% upload your first few videos using the TikTok camera, and not uploading from Camera Roll. Thanks Michael for your help with these tips
(I made a mistake in the video.. when I said it uses #'s like Facebook.. I meant like Instagram.)
