United Employess Organization signaled a vigorous agitation for permanent service After the formation of the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council, Temporary staff were appointed to various departments within the DGHC united under the formation of a Janmukti Asthayi Karmchari Sangathan. After the appointment of temporary staff in various departments under the DGHC, the demand for the permanent service of a Janmukti Asthayi Karmachari Sangathan in the changing political environment over time has been transformed into PAY BAND staff, but their demand is still visible.

Despite the political upheaval of the organization, the demand for permanent service could not be resolved and the organization was weakened due to political upheaval. Again, Payband employees have been integrated and have been active in pushing for the demand for permanent solution. The demand for permanent employment has been sharpened by the formation of the United Employees Association.

A long discussion of Mirik Sudvision Committee association was held on Friday . The meeting was held in the presence of the Association's Central Committee Chairman Anil Rai, Vice President Chandan Pradhan, Joint Secretary Urgen Tamang, Executive Member Kiran Gurung, Basanta Tamang and Bijay Pradhan.

During the meeting chaired by President Lilan Thapa, Secretary Milan Thapa and Spokesperson Suren Tamang, Krishnamani Thapa and Gyanendra Gurung, leaders of the Mirik Subdivision Committee association stated that there has been no justice from the time of the DGHC. The first priority should be given to PAY BAND employees under the staff selection board that has been formed by GTA to the posts of Group B, C and D. Raising the issue of injustice and enduring the demand for permanent soution they said, though we there was no organization during the DGHC period but we remained united for the separate state and our demand for the permanent service was raised at the top which could not be settled due to political injustice.

During the meeting, It was informed that when the process of searching out vacants posts and forwarding to the state government was started through the previous organization, the former GTA Chief sent a list of GLP and Nari Morcha to the state in which the organization's list and the list of the GTA Chief showed great difference for which the state stopped the process of appointment to the vacant post .Because of this problem could not be resolved.

The GTA has done great injustice to the payband employees who are working in various departments under the GTA. Stating that temporary payband employees have a fundamental right to a permanent job and we urge the current GTA chairman that the demands of the organization be taken seriously.

The organization has also signaled a vigorous agitation for permanent service.
