This week, four countries decided to advise Russia on how to honor the heroes of the Second World War. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania did not like fireworks in Moscow celebrating the anniversary of the liberation of the Baltic cities from the Nazis. The Russian Foreign Ministry described that demarche as profane in relation to the dead liberator soldiers, many of whom came from the Baltic states. And the German Die Welt proposed to demolish the memorial near Prokhorovka because, according to journalists, there was no victory there.
