Manchester United have reportedly made a substantial bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they seek to sign the Crystal Palace defender. Wan-Bissaka has emerged as United's primary target as they look to bring in a new right-back to replace Antonio Valencia. As reported by Sky Sports, Palace are eager to retain the services of Wan-Bissaka but their resolve could be tested by a major United bid. Wan-Bissaka has continued to excel since making his senior debut for Palace in February 2018 and has proceeded to make 46 appearances for the club. The England U21 international is extremely highly regarded at Palace, and was named the club's player of the year for the 2018-19 campaign. At the age of 21 he has time on his side to improve even further, and could help to improve United's defence, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having often deployed Ashley Young at right-back last season. United have already struck one deal ahead of next season, with talented young winger Daniel James having agreed to join from Swansea. Having finished in sixth place in the Premier League and without a trophy last season, United are determined to improve next campaign.
