Mix Minute - Reducing Harshness In Amp Sims

Hello, it’s Brandon with another Mix minute, and today we’re going to use a dynamic eq to tame harshness in a high gain amp sim.

This high gain sound is great for this part, but it’s a little tough on the ears in certain frequencies.

Using MDynamicEQ, we can look for the harsh frequencies and dynamically notch them out only when they’re strong enough to be a problem. A touch of saturation will fill the notched gaps with harmonics and warm this up further!
