Kamal Elgargni - Mr Olympia 212 - Talks to pupils at Oakwood Community School.

Mr Olympia 212 comes to Oakwood School!

There was a real buzz at Oakwood School last week when we welcomed Kamal Elgargni - recent winner of the under 212 lbs class at The Mister Olympia Bodybuilding World Championships. Yes this is the same Mr Olympia competition that was won 7 times in the past by Arnold Schwarzenegger!
Kamal originally hails from Libya - he is affectionately known as ‘The Lion of Libya’ - but now lives in Northampton with his family. His achievement is amazing but the fact that he did it at the age of 48 - yes 48! - is even more outstanding - by comparison Arnie won his first title at the age of 23!

Kamal very generously gave up his time to come to the school and talk about his life experiences and how he won the title. To say he had a very excited and rapt audience is an understatement.

Oakwood Community School would like to say a huge thank you to Kamal for his inspirational words to the boys and for his generosity throughout the day.
