Your WiFi is Used to Track You

Your WiFi is Used to Track You “A mobile phone is a tracking device that also makes calls.”

I love my phone, but there are risks to carrying one everywhere, and it’s important we understand them. Hopefully this video helps educate you about some aspects of how your device works, so that you can make smart choices that will give you back some of your privacy.

I look at how WiFi probe requests are used to track you, what Snowden and Bunny Huang’s "Introspection engine" is and how it allows you to monitor signals going in and out of your phone, and I share some important tips for making your devices more secure.
Big takeaway: turn off your wifi when you’re not using it!

Why Snowden says to use ethernet on your phone (wifi access points)
