Why Working with a Calligrapher on Wedding Stationery is More Expensive than Using a Larger Company

Why Working with a Calligrapher on Wedding Stationery is More Expensive than Using a Larger Company If you are engaged and looking around for your wedding stationery (Save the Dates, Invitations, Menus, Programs, etc), you might be considering working with a calligrapher or small business designer. In my 7 years of business, I have received many questions from clients about pricing and what differences there are between using a large stationery company versus an individual calligrapher in order to help them make a decision. In this video I go over 3 main reasons why you will most likely see higher overall pricing for individual calligraphers designing your stationery compared with finding a large stationery company online and picking one of their templates. I also made this video as a resource to other calligraphers, artists, or designers out there fielding these same questions from clients and not knowing how to best explain why their services might cost more.

Fully custom design for wedding stationery is not in every couple's budget, and my goal is to make sure clients feel comfortable knowing their priorities and spending their budget wisely, even if that means going with a less expensive company online! There is no wrong choice for your wedding stationery, especially with so many options currently out there. Hopefully this will help you understand where you money is going if you work with an individual calligrapher, and ultimately help you make the right decision for you and your significant other.
