Current account records surplus of US$ 7.5 bil. in September, down 32% y|y South Korea's current account surplus stood at seven-and-a-half billion U.S. dollars in September... staying in the black for the fifth consecutive month.
That's the biggest surplus in 11 months.
A large gain in goods balance is cited as one of the main reasons behind the figure.
The surplus amount, however narrowed from a year earlier due to slowing exports.. according to data from the Bank of Korea.
The BOK attributed the on-year decline to lower prices for key exports including chips and petrochemical goods.
