After some unbelievably tough times losing Tony Golden in 2017 after many health setbacks, we had sentimental possessions and personal property taken from our home in August of 2018... right when the kids and I set out to start a new chapter in a new home. We stayed very private...yet devastated and in dismay... plus we needed to allow the legal system and investigators to take the lead.
While much closure was gained with experts working on the case, the jewelry and sentimental belongings and other possessions never surfaced....
Until... by fate, faith, God’s will or complete chance, I walked into Atlanta Diamond Design over a year after the theft. While describing some stolen items and sharing my dream to try to replicate some for our children to have as similar keepsakes... well .... one look at the gentleman working there and we realized that of all the places in the world, some of my jewelry had been sold to them after it was stolen!
Fourteen months after almost giving up all hope, I was soon holding one of my wedding bands and my husband’s inscribed ring! We are still in complete shock, elation and joy!
No words can express what this meant.
But in true “Golden family fashion” we took a cake to the wonderful jeweler and his family for being such Good Samaritans and reuniting us with some very special memories of our husband/daddy!
So, our children said we can’t stop now! We must turn to the power of social media! They encouraged me to finally go public for we still can’t believe we found any pieces this long after the theft! We are hoping to see if there’s anyone, particularly in the John’s Creek, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody or Cumming GA area that might have had someone approach them to buy jewelry direct in August or September 2018. We can describe all that was taken and have itemized receipts, photos and descriptions. Others possessions were taken too but the family sentimental pieces from my husband mean the most to our family.
The kids have blown me away wanting to help!
So in closing, share this “search” with jewelers, estate sale company’s, pawn shops, diamond and gold buyers or anyone that you know might have been buying rings, earrings, watches, a unique heirloom gold charm bracelet or other jewelry last year at that time.
