Here’s an exercise that’s so simple anyone can do it. Just pick a spot on the fretboard, pick a key and a simple chord progression (Maybe I, IV, V in A), and find a different shaped triad for each chord with minimal movement. Do this for a week and see how the fretboard starts to become easier and easier for you to visualize!
