Quite frankly, that’s a load of rubbish - Brexit Minister SLAMS Leader of Liberal Democrats

In the House of Commons, Leader of the Liberal Democrats Jo Swinson says the government had made a "flimsy commitment" to keep up standards on things like workers' rights and environmental policy after leaving the EU with a deal.

But she says there is now "fear" this promise has been "ditched in desperation", and no-one will know for sure until the full text of the proposal is published.

Brexit Minister James Dudridge says he knows that Commons language is "supposed to be temperate... but quite frankly, that is a load of rubbish".

He says if constituents "are worried and scared because of what the Lib Dems are saying... it's a terrible thing [and] simply not true".
