With the Distance Control Assist enabled in the settings menu, the DCA system turns on when the dynamic driver assistance switch on the steering wheel is pushed. When activated, the DCA system switch indicator will appear in the vehicle information display. Push the dynamic driver assistance switch again to turn the DCA system off. The DCA system indicator will turn off. Please be aware that the DCA system does not operate when the conventional cruise control mode is operating. Also, a vehicle that is entering the lane ahead, may not be detected until the vehicle has completely moved into the lane. If this occurs, a chime will sound and the system indicator will blink.
The DCA can be turned on or off in the lower display. To toggle the DCA on or off:
● Push the MENU button
● Touch the DRIVER ASSISTANCE key on the lower display
● Touch the FORWARD ASSIST key on the lower display
● Select the DISTANCE CONTROL ASSIST key to toggle the system ON or OFF.

The DCA system will display the following indicators:
● A green indicator illuminates when the DCA system is ON.
● An orange indicator illuminates if there is a malfunction.
● If there is no vehicle ahead of you in your traveling lane, the vehicle information display will show this indicator.
● If there is a vehicle ahead of you in your traveling lane, the vehicle information display will show this indicator.
