Clark Kent reflexes, superhuman cognition and razor sharp mental clairty. That paired with elevated Growth Hormone levels and increased fat mobilization - longer fasts might just be one of the best tools you can use on your Kinobody journey. I have been using longer fasts for the last 3.5 weeks in my cutting journey on the Kinobody routines. And, I have to say, I am loving it. I am killing it in the process. There are a number of benefits that I try to summarize in this video. The first of which is the simple fact that you improve your innate connection to hunger. Now - what does this mean. Primarily, longer fasts have allowed me to notice the difference between actual hunger, and what my mind wants. The mind is really misleading, and usually is always seeking amusement. The mind has a hard time just being present.
So, longer fasts - will give you some stall, a buffer to avoid the quick give-ins to food when you don't actually need it. Sounds cool, huh? This carries over into your feeding window, and because of it - you are in complete control of when you want to eat. You don't have to eat if you're not hungry. Longer fasts improve your relationship with food, plain and simple. You notice real hunger and are able to detect fake hunger.
Now, the second benefit that I discuss in this video is the increased activity of your sympathetic state of the nervous system - primarily, this is shown to increase your alertness, your focus, your mental energy. Temporary increased levels of catecholamines - cortisol, adrenaline, and norepinephrine to name a few are all close examples of this. You will notice that you develop Clark Kent reflexes, superhuman cognition and razor sharp mental clarity.
With that said, as I discuss in the video there is a caveat, a minor drawback that occurs when you get onto the longer fasts.
