"우리의 현재 경제 상태에서는 어떻게 돈을 더 벌지는 물론, 소비를 어떻게 더 줄일지에 대해서 생각을 하지 않을 수가 없다. 덕분에 그 어느 때보다도 소비절감 전략에 많은 관심을 갖게 됐는데 그것 자체가 이미 많은 제품과 서비스의 사업모델과 주요 마케팅 전략이 되었다. 하지만, 많은 것이 그렇듯이, 우리의 방식과 생각을 더 발전시켜야 하며 단순히 ‘덜 쓰기’수준에서 ‘시간을 더 잘 활용하기'의 방향으로 나아갈 필요가 있다. 예를 들어, 더 좋은 조건의 인터넷 TV 서비스를 찾았다면 TV를 보는 데에 시간을 쓰기 더 좋은 조건을 찾은 셈이다. 물론, TV가 나쁘다는 것은 아니지만 그 시간의 일부를 더 잘 쓰는 방법이 있지 않을까? 시간은 돈이다. 당신의 시간은 당신의 돈만큼 소중하고 같은 수준의 관심을 줘야한다. 소비를 줄이는 등 경제적인 능력을 갖추는 것은 갈수록 어려워지고 있고 단순히 여기저기서 덜 쓰는 것만으로는 부족해 보인다. 더 좋은 습관과 생활방식에 적응하는 등의 더 정교한 계획이 필요할지도 모른다."

But, as with many things, we need to improve our methods and our thinking beyond the level of simply 'spending less' and more towards 'making better use of our time'. For instance, if you have found a more cost-efficient solution for your Internet TV service, then you've found a more efficient way to spend your time watching TV. That's not to say that watching TV is all bad but perhaps there's a way to make better use of some of that time. Time is money. Your time is as valuable as your money and it deserves to be treated with the same level of seriousness. Saving money and overall becoming more financially capable is getting harder and simply spending a little less here and there doesn't seem like it's going to cut it. Perhaps it requires a more sophisticated approach like adjusting to new habits and lifestyles."
