This video is a little different, as I rode through Joshua Tree national park I was struck with sadness about the events that took place there this past year. I felt compelled to urge everyone to be mindful of their impact and just as important to encourage others to do the same. Last year Joshua Tree was getting hit pretty hard by people that did not share the same value for wild places that I know all of you have. This is why it is important for those of us that do recognize that value, to help protect and preserve them and encourage others to do better as well.
Don't be afraid to pick up trash even if it isn't yours. Leave everything better than you found it and the world will be a better place for it. It is so easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you can't make a difference, that picking up on piece of garbage can't make a difference, but it can, and it will.
