Installing Ported Upper & Lower Intake Manifolds

To make more power while staying NA, the flow of air going to and from the engine needs to be optimized. Most auto manufacturers produce cars to work well, however they are okay with having an adequate final inspection. That somewhat poor quality control means there are many aspects of the car that can be improved on without reinventing the wheel. In a previous video, I removed the imperfections and casting marks from the upper and lower intake manifolds on my 370Z ( In this video, I’ll be going through the complete installation with torque specs.

Fuel Rail to Lower Intake Manifold 2nd Pass (4) @ 17 ft. lbs
Fuel Delivery Line to Fuel Rail (2) @ 80 in. Lbs
Upper Intake Manifold Bolts & Nuts to Lower Intake Manifold (8 & 2) @ 14 ft. lbs
Throttle Body to Upper Intake Manifold (8) @ 75 in. lbs
