Incompetent mechanical shop trying to do work or not qualified for

Incompetent mechanical shop trying to do work or not qualified for Certain kind of shops should not be attempting to do certain types of work not qualify for. If the owner himself cannot train his technicians and he thinks everything is easy as plugging in a tool and pushing buttons there’s a big problem and disconnect.
In this case it was not the technicians fault he was hired for a totally different service and job classification but was knowingly given a job he knows very little about. This is often the case in many businesses that want to make money at everything they see is $$$.
Having managers in service writers who were never professionally in the trade is another problem giving giving orders to technicians how to service a customers car because they intentionally hire mechanics who are not very competent and easily and manipulated intentionally so they can make money it’s easier to make money off the parks that did not need to be installed. Then pay to have technicians sent out for training on specific job categories that there will be performing and equipment that they will be using.
The customer loses in the end paying for parts and service not needed and certain components that die short life because of improper installation or service procedures.
There definitely should be a two tier payment rate and rating for shops. A class A shop gets paid twice as much than a class B shop. The class B shop the owner cannot work on cars he cannot does not know how to diagnose he cannot train his own technicians. Class B shops usually fall in the category looking for employees that they can control like minions.
There should not be a self-governing let the market rule and direct how this business goes anymore there’s too many corrupt shops had should not be in business and there should be a hands-on test on vehicles for both employees and the shop owners. This way we could weed out the predators and unqualified and they have to have a mandatory large sign in front of their business saying class B.
The shop in the video used as an example is very good at what they do but what they are not mechanical oriented.
Example a mechanical shop that tries to do transmission repairs and replacement we’re not qualified. That just replaces a burnt out transmission without flushing the lines or the heat exchanger or replacing the torque converter and just throws the new transmission into the car that customer will have a transmission that lives a short life.
Example The automotive window company that hires the cheapest untrained employees so they could give the cheapest price I’m sure you know the ones if you’re a professional in the field.
Those guys who are fast when they scratch the paint as they remove the windshield they do not put on a primer and leave the exposed metal and just throw over a bead of silicone. A couple years later that’s the car you see with all the rust bubbles and paint chipping off around the edges of the window as the sheet metal rots away from water exposure
Example a body shop that’s always in a rush pushing his guys to go faster wants to make the high profit margin and they put the fastest activator in their basecoat and the fastest activator in their clearcoat sometimes they throw down their basecoat then go out to lunch or try to do a complete with fast activating basecoat and too hot of a temperature.
This is the car you see A few years later with the clearcoat peeling off the basecoat because it does not have a mechanical or a chemical molecular bonding.
And there’s 100 more instances that are all related to the owner of the shop in the end it’s the owner who is responsible for the type of work their employees perform and they are responsible for their training. If the owner of an automotive shop only wants to pay the lowest price for an employee who will have the least amount of education and skill and then complain that his mechanics do not do good work. The owner of that shop needs to look in the mirror and there lies his problem.
Shitty work comes from a shitty owner because the biggest turd on top all the shit rolls downhill.
There’s a lot of good qualified honest shops with very educated and technically skilled technicians.
But it’s the turds in our industry that give the good shops bad names and leave a bad taste in the mouth of customers who been screwed over lied to robbed stolen from and do not trust Automotive industry.
And for those who say they will go out of business that is not true there is many that have been in business for decades they just got better at lying cheating conniving and swindling.
