Instagram is Hiding Likes and it's STUPID

Instagram is hiding likes now. What does this mean to the platform? Will hiding likes have a positive effect.

Instagram announced that it's going to start slowly rolling out a feature where it no longer shows likes. Essentially, Instagram is hiding likes from viewers. Meaning that if you look at the feed of another IG creator you won't be able know how many likes a photo has.
Instagram says that the change was put in place to bring down the stress of the platform. But, is that the case? Can this bring back the fun in the popular social media?
