The Cocoa Industry has been challenged to ensure that maximum financial benefits flow to farmers throughout the country. This was the challenge laid down by National Planning Minister Richard Maru, when opening the 2019 Kumul bilong Morobe Coco of Excellence Show.
According to Minister Maru, current levels of return farmers are inadequate, with the government seriously considering downstream processing as one way of rewarding cocoa farmers for their hard work.
