MAJOR POWER CUT-OFF IN KARNATAKA SECTION: NILESH CABRAL_Prudent Media Goa

Power Minister Nilesh Cabral has informed that due to major power interruption along Karnataka section there have been power cut-off for 18 hours in South Goa. Stating that out of 90 major interruptions 83 were in Karnataka section, Cabral has informed that this section in not under Goa’s control.
Cabral has also informed that government is planning to procure power from Maharashtra and accordingly alternate power routing work is on. He has urged people not to oppose and obstruct cabling project as government aims to provide 24x7 power supply. Cabral has also disclosed that government has major plans to upgrade Xeldem section and network.
