My Back Is Killing Me is a “fictional” series about a detective and police officer duo trying to crack the case about a woman’s mysterious back pain. The detective and police officer are played by actors, but the patients in the series are not: They actually have ankylosing spondylitis, and the plot is based on their real-life experiences.

This series is part of a campaign created by the nonprofit patient community CreakyJoints to raise awareness for back pain and ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a type of inflammatory arthritis that frequently goes undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.
